Back in the day, toilet paper and eggs were so plentiful that you would throw them at the houses of your enemies.

@unclepj

I picture the look on a Klingon's face when you say this too him / her. Hilarious.

@unclepj I shit you not -- the last time I was at the grocery store, it was around $2.50 for half a dozen eggs. Not even a full dozen. I can remember when that same package was less than a dollar. It's a good thing we don't really eat a lot of eggs, otherwise, our grocery bill would be a lot higher.
@feverspell Egg prices are pretty insane. I have a few dozen for sale on eBay atm. Once they sell, I plan to retire.
@unclepj Instafollowed.
@msbellows oh, you may live to regret that! 😂
@unclepj I sure hope so. Don't let me down.
@unclepj You have officially won the Internets for today.
@unclepj
I still didn't wanna waste resources like that
@unclepj I mourn the real maple syrup we used to pour in mail boxes, like the get-off-my-lawn guy who hated kids. What a waste of syrup.
@unclepj I have never done that, I’m 71. What a thing! 😏
@jaycee I’ve never egged a house. I have however TP’d a few, not gonna lie.
@unclepj @remotevoices ah yes back in ye goode olde days when the light ‘twas all sepia tones

@unclepj
I thought I had boosted this earlier, but it turns out I had boosted the exact same thing, posted by someone else.

I follow neither of the original posters, both were boosted into my timeline by someone else.

The time stamps indicate that this one is the earlier of the two. Or both are from another, even earlier, source.

Dunno, don't care.

It's not the first, nor the last, time something like this happened. I've probably done it myself.

@BlippyTheWonderSlug That’s interesting. None of my works are original thoughts, I think that would be virtually impossible for me. Just consider anything I post as potentially stolen from either my father or yours. 😁

@unclepj

I remember reading an article written by a North Korean defector. They said that the regime showed them a propaganda film of people throwing eggs at government officials in South Korea.

While this was supposed to show that the South Koreans hated their government, the defector was more impressed that they had so many eggs.
