Wanted: #Recommendations to sites & #videos with #tutorials on #HandSewing & also recommendations on affordable #SewingMachine suitable for #disabled folks who can't use foot pedal on most machines.

@msquebanh not sure what your upper $ limit is, but lower end Brother machines have a good reputation and good features. The Brother SQ9285 is $200 on the Walmart website and has a push-button start/stop feature and slider speed control. I started on a similar-but-more-basic machine, and it still sews well. Not strong enough for a lot of heavy fabric sewing though.

@msquebanh yeah, at that price, a Brother or possibly a Juki machine would be your best bet. The higher end names--Bernina, Janome--don't have the computerized features at that price point, which you need for the push button start/stop and speed control. I really like Brothers.
