@Ronico Ohh. Never heard of Quokka. 😍

@Ronico
When visiting Rotto we made up the quokwich recipe (along the lines of the "yukwich", which was a sandwich made out of whatever revolting mixture the kids fancied that day, eg strawberry jam and Marmite):

"First you catch a quokka, then you take the skin off, then you take the bones out ...

but we never got any further than that, as by that point our small children were screaming at us to stop.

@Ronico the things you can learn. Thanks for sharing, didn’t know about these at all.
@Ronico quokkas are not commonly found on the Australian mainland. Small pockets exist in Southwest Western Australia, otherwise they are entirely found on islands off the coast of Western Australia, with the most well known island to find them is Rottnest Island.
@Ronico they look like cartoon characters come to life.
@Ronico ...only found in Western Australia off the coast on Quokka Island
@Ronico There are only 10-15.000 left. Half of them are living on a small island called Rottnest Island (30km nw of Perth) The remaining rest lives in the most south westerly part of Westaustralia.
