A winter photo for #Wedsneigh from three years ago while we were living where there is snow. I don't honestly think any of us miss it! This is Margarita (left) and Bonita, better known as Sugar (right), two of my lovely Galiceños. Working with a critically endangered breed has its challenges, but these marvelous friends bring so much joy and hope.

@sunnymyers Wait.... didn't you get any snow from the storm last month? ❄️🥶 Or does that little not count? 😆
@JulieNye
We only got rain this low toward the valley. I could look up from my backyard and admire snow on the Galiuro peaks, and I could drive out and enjoy seeing it on the Catalinas. But I didn't have to deal with it. Win -win! The rain was a bit of a mess though.
@sunnymyers I guess some snow is the price I'm going to pay for the altitude and cooler summers. 😬
@JulieNye Probably! 😉 How hot are your summers? We got 113 F the day we moved in lol, and did it again last summer though the monsoon seems more effective at cooling things off here than in Phoenix.
@sunnymyers Only one summer to judge by so far. Some days into triple digits, but not very many, and not that much over. It's plenty hot for me and the UV is very intense, also somewhat complicated by altitude. Most nights cool off quite well, though, and there are night breezes (sometime more like gales...) that keep things much more tolerable once the sun goes down. Only about 5-6wks, I think, when the AC had to stay on at night.
@sunnymyers horses can be such great friends.
@Ted_Cville
The very best friends, along with dogs, of course😉
@sunnymyers Yes, even though their personalities are somewhat different from dogs, they can be equally good and intelligent companions. It's annoying that so many people view them as stupid and fearful.
