OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has warned that the company could pull its services from the EU if it finds upcoming regulations too onerous. The EU AI Act is currently being finalized by lawmakers and should become law next year.

Well, I am not thrilled about having to #migrate. I get the issues, but the timing sucks, and I sure wish it was possible just to keep the status quo. Not that anyone has asked for my .02...but since when has that ever stopped me from commenting?? 🙄 Stand by for migration antics fairly soon.

🤠 Well, it's THAT time of year again--when the heat & UV are strong enough that a hat is necessary nearly all daylight hours. I hate hats. My hair hates hats. However....isn't it GLORIOUS that it's not cold??? I spent so much time whining about the cold & wind over the winter that I vowed zero whining about heat. Now I look at my hat-hair in the mirror and do maniacal, evil grins celebrating the fact that I'm not frozen. 🤩 🎉

Lessons, living with parents with dementia: when an app on their phone spontaneously changes it's icon, it's a fucking disaster.

Some Google engineer launched a feature that got them a promotion and now my mom can't use her phone anymore. Silicon Valley is incapable of imagining a user who isn't a 27 year old white man.
