@JuliusGoat and now they use woke as a pejorative when talking about anything they don't like. I wish someone could go on Faux News and explain it to them and their viewers. I hate seeing Trump supporters using the term but if you ask them what woke means they stumble around and say something like radical Democrat communist. So ignorant.

It's still bad to be racist, but the angle they've taken is that white supremacists are either not being racist, or that black people are being racist against white people

@JuliusGoat I found it deeply indicative how in court, some of DeSantis' lawyers were required to define "woke" and they said, "The belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them." In other words, what these white conservatives are doing really is an explicit position of racism and white supremacist advocacy.

@JuliusGoat I've been thinking, recently, about how the knee-jerk reaction to "woke" mirrors the knee-jerk reaction to "politically correct." First, the right goes apoplectic about the term, then insists on always using the term with a sneer. And they eventually brow-beat everyone else into accepting that it's a negative term.
