I have been lucky to visit Japan 6 or 7 times. I have also been lucky to see “Maman” at the foot of the Mori Tower twice, and at the foot of the Bilbao Guggenheim museum twice, too where the same statue is installed.

A cicada, on summer night, caught my attention. Its shape created a strong visual contrast against the lit up lamp shade of the terrace. The wing so delicate it looked like lace.
