Sounds good to me! Though I do tweet a fair amount of politics too ...

Just one thing - you post some lovely images, but do add #AltText if possible, to make them accessible to those who use screenreaders. A lot of people here (including me) won't boost images without it.

@ClaireCopperman Just a question - I was using the metatext app for but was finding it clunky to use so have switched to the mastodon app which doesn’t seem to have the same #alttext functionality. I have just tried to toot a photo and had to manually add #alttext. Am I missing something or is this a limitation of the mastodon app?

@FionaGrayPhD @ClaireCopperman I tried all of the (many) apps, and settled on toot (not to be confused with tooot).

Toot not only makes adding a description to images easy, you can use a setting which won't let you post a message until all images have a description!

It's also quite pretty, especially on tablet.

That's really helpful; thanks so much.

@ClaireCopperman @FionaGrayPhD Speaking personally, I do find that Mastodon tends to put the "social" back in social media.

And an edit function means that I apparently don't make typos any more …

Yes, that's a joy, isn't it? I was so happy when the recent update to my instance included that feature!
