He's not even sworn in yet, and already, serial liar George Santos has posted a whopper of a lie on his official congressional website. 🤦‍♂️

What is wrong with him?

Honestly, I'm not sure what's more embarrassing for the Republican Party: 6 failed Speaker votes or that Santos is one of their own.

You are correct - the Washington Post published a story stating that "Identical statements were posted on the websites of other incoming freshman lawmakers, including for Robert Garcia, a California Democrat; Michael Lawler, a New York Republican; and Yadira Caraveo, a Colorado Democrat." (Don't get me wrong - I think George Santos's lies about his background are awful.)

George Santos wrongly announced he was sworn in. He wasn’t the only one.

Santos is among House freshmen whose offices incorrectly said they were sworn in. With Kevin McCarthy's bid stalled, no speaker was chosen to do that job.

Then again, it's not hard to set up leadership roles for the only legislative body with one house and no parties.
