When you see an American #PickupTruck in Europe, you realize how ridiculously large they are.
The only reason people drive such large trucks (and SUVs) in urban and suburban environments is to wage war of mutually assured destruction, where the real casualties are people on foot, on bikes, in wheelchairs, on scooters, etc.
@davidho
The reason is rule #1 for testicular prosthetic devices: Size matters.

@davidho I live in the rural environment.

I have an suv cause I want to go anywhere, and bring all the stuff I might need most of the time.

@davidho They are somewhat popular up here in Dalarna, Sweden (or as I affectionately call it, the Midwest of Sweden). It is a bit ridiculous to see them next to the wagons & crossovers commonly driven here which are already large by European standards.
@davidho crazy. It must be difficult to find a parking space big enough in any European city with such a ridiculous car.

I also don't understand these car picks. Just like I don't understand 4x4 transmissions on SUV's (which is bad enough) that are driven exclusively in town. Mercedes has a playground for SUV cars in Bremen for their SUV line so that an owner can drive the car once for what it was originally built for an extra fee. :D

@davidho I had my Honda Odyssey with me in Britain. Definitely wider wheel base than average. Somewhat uncomfortable on B and C roads.
@davidho when my dad moved back to Greece, he brought his Trans Am with him. It was WAY too big for the mountain roads of Crete, so it ended up sitting covered in the village parking lot with a pack of feral dogs hanging out on it. I wish I had photos.
@davidho just spent 2 weeks across Germany. Saw a Ford SUV in Hamburg and literally did a double-take. I had enough troubles parking my rented Audi hatchback, why would someone do that to themselves??
@davidho yes!! There seems to be a single Dodge Ram in Den Haag and every time I see it I realize how obnoxious it is here.
@davidho I see Ford Rangers here in Ireland and they look ridiculous. The full size trucks wouldn't even fit on the road.
@davidho They're ridiculously large when you see them on city streets in the US, too. They're made for rural areas, and they always look out of place on city streets (to me, anyway).
@davidho
Fun story: that is RAM's smallest model.
@davidho That is why we are called โ€œthe ugly Americansโ€.๐Ÿคฃ
@davidho I realize that every time I have to park next to one.
@davidho Yes, but how else can men overcompensate for their tiny penises in europe otherwise?! Since they don't allow lunatics to buy mountains of guns and ammo.
@davidho Saw one of these in Sheffield the other day and the driver had to do an 18-point turn to pull out from a driveway into a back road (near a supermarket). Funny thing is that there are HGVs that drive up and down that same bit of road and they snake around tight corners just fine.
@davidho Reminds me of when I saw a typical European car in the US ๐Ÿ˜… :
@davidho @KingShawn Donโ€™t leave a major city with that truck, we drove from Trondheim near Arctic Circle to Rock of Gibraltar and Yugoslavia when lived in Switzerland, highways great but tiny roads everywhere snaking around mountains and through ancient towns that barely fit our Toyota Tercel ๐Ÿ™‚
