Happy Deductible and Out Of Pocket Max Resetting Day to all my disabled and chronically ill friends.

I’m spending the day figuring out which of my medications that cost thousands of $$$$ a month I can skip until I “only” have to pay 20%. 😭

@KatieHart I DC 4 meds last year. I am lucky i no longer need* them. 2 were gonna shorten my life. My PCP agreed. Even the pharmacist helped me to taper off those 2 of 4 they still hand out to many. Too many IMHO.
@Clarity
I’m happy that you were able identify medications you didn’t need and to safely discontinue them.
I’m not in such a position, however. Nobody is handing out unnecessary prescriptions to me. Much the opposite. I’m on hard won medications that were a struggle to find doctors who know how to manage them.
I’d wager there’s more people not being prescribed and/or affording critical medications than being prescribed unnecessary ones.
@KatieHart Thank you. I think there is a medication management crisis in mental health. The drugs have no long-term studies and poly-drug therapies are psychiatric crap and crap shoots. with placebos outperforming some antidepressants. Still dosages are not clinically justified and effects only happening with therapy. #medication #Therapy
