In 2021 I cycled 2893km on my shitty little folding bike, so I set a 2022 goal of 3000km, which I had smashed through by September after I got a new bike in June, and I'm closing the year on 4252km.
So what's a sensible target for 2023?

So where have we got to at the end of the first month? 43km off the pace is OK, tbh. The raw maths says I need to do ~96km per week for the rest of 2023, but I'll do plenty of 100km+ weeks once it gets warmer and lighter
#Strava progress, end of February: that I'm only 35km off the pace is astonishing to me, given that I lost an entire week to a work event and then being ill. The month did also include my first-ever 70km ride, however
Ahead of the Game 💪
1000km for the year 💪
The pace has picked up massively in April, with two 90km epics and plenty of after-work #cycling. I guess we'll stay well ahead over the summer
2000km of #Cycling for the year 💪
Whoa, we're halfway there
And I've just smashed 5000km for the year, before the end of September (in no small part thanks the 240km I picked-up on last week's holiday in Suffolk)
Guess we're heading for 6000 now...
The Final Scores are in!
So, in 2023, I:

* cycled from Stratford to Canvey Island
* cycled from Stratford to Cambridge, twice
* raised £750 on the JDRF Cycle for a Cure event
