Conglomerations of #Streptococcus bacteria and #Candida fungi work together to walk, leap across the surface of #teeth. Small bacteria cluster around the core of each clump, forming a sticky binding. Larger, rod-shaped fungi join on the outside to propelled the structure forward.

@animalculum This is simultaneously fascinating in general, very cool in terms of thinking about forms of sentience/intelligence, and powerless to decrease the heebie-jeebies that occur any time I have to confront #teeth outside of a standard daily care regimen.
