@Mrfunkedude What a good plan. I see you’re into bread making, so I’m about to make a new sourdough starter. Usually use a 50:50 mix in a preserving/ kilner jar. Hints and tips much appreciated : )
@Weez what happened to your old starter?
@Mrfunkedude ah. Didn’t use it for a while and it separated and smelled bad (of paint)
@Mrfunkedude I think if I left it too long it might evolve and become a National menace

@Weez It's almost impossible to kill a starter unless you've contaminated it with something else.

I have kept starter in the fridge for MONTHS. The liquid will even separate and turn gray. I just dump 90% out, and then feed it twice a day, dumping out 75% each time. I feed it for 3-4 days. After that it becomes healthy again and ready to use.
