@auschwitzmuseum what a haunting picture. I visited #auschwitz 20 years ago and the experience has never left me. May we never forget ❤️
@auschwitzmuseum the truth about what Christianity really is summed up in one powerful picture and one reason why I'm no longer Christian.
@auschwitzmuseum From my privileged position (a lucky place however hard I may have worked) I see this image on this day and instinctually reject it, the way it encroaches for a few seconds on my perfect little life… and then it reminds me that none of this I have is a given right (by god or whoever floats your boat), but a circumstantial blessing of time and place, and sadly I feel only more thankful for what I have. Never forget
@mori @auschwitzmuseum I think our role as educators at the Memorial is not only to teach history and facts but also make people slightly uncomfortable, to trigger that kind of a reflections because this history must be a warning. Thank you for those words.
@pawelsawicki @auschwitzmuseum This should always be uncomfortable
@mori @auschwitzmuseum Yes. Luck or lack of it plays a much, much bigger part in life than we like to admit.
@shuttersparks @auschwitzmuseum Most certainly. Some work hard and have no luck. Some do nothing and have all of it. Luckily, most have a sprinkling of both across their lives. Gotta live with the ups and the downs
