Contrary to popular belief, this isn’t a Blue Screen Of Death - its correct name is a Ctrl-Alt-Del Screen. Introduced in Windows 3.1 (1992), it was shown if a user pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del with no unresponsive apps to kill. It was coded by Raymond Chen, with text by Steve Ballmer. #DailyWindowsFact #Microsoft #Windows #RaymondChen #SteveBallmer #StevenBallmer #BSOD #BlueScreen #BlueScreenOfDeath #Windows31
@windowsonwindows Addition - Ctrl-Alt-Del wasn't intended to be the final key combination for this utility. However, it was never updated before Windows shipped, and is now what one would call "Legend"
@Tokatoey Thanks - didn’t know this! Got a source?
@windowsonwindows actually, I remembered this incorrectly, basically IBM wouldn't give Microsoft the single key that they wanted to use for the troubleshooting. My bad. Here is the article https://www.theverge.com/2013/9/26/4772680/bill-gates-admits-ctrl-alt-del-was-a-mistake
