@khayes @neilhimself Me too. I love how she's basically the polar opposite of the standard pop culture grim reaper archetype.

I would also accept being greeted by the comically blunt Discworld Death from Terry Pratchett's mind.

@Pierre_de_BA @neilhimself @Padre_Pio You might enjoy "Terry Pratchett 's Hogfather" 2-disc TV adaptation, which was "mucked about" by Discworld author Sir Terry Pratchett himself & has a cameo from him. The rights to Discworld remain with the Pratchett estate, but you might enjoy the upcoming season 2 of Good Omens, the book he co-wrote with Terry & has been adapting for TV in Terry's memory. /Gen

@neilhimself I remember reading that in the comic when I was young and thinking to myself "death is a one way ticket, no matter how horrible the nightmare is, you will wake up". Missing that point I guess is in character, as they cannot experience it as mortals.

@neilhimself As a person who has a tough time contemplating death both the comic and episode of โ€œThe Sound of Her Wingsโ€ always help my be a little less scared of it. I shed a tear when I first read it and a shed a few more when I saw it on TV. It means even more to me now that I have had to deal the death of loved ones. It is truly special. Thank you.
