Just arrived in San Diego and I’m wondering — what is this city’s most iconic moment??

To me it’s when all their fireworks went off at the same time but I’m open to other suggestions

@caseynewton welcome to town! pinge if you want intel on where to taco or where to sushi! I think in 2007 when the whole city caught fire and many of us got evacuated was a pretty big deal. there was also the whole kony 2012 ordeal.

@Viss @caseynewton

Don't forget the biggest power outage in CA history. September HEATWAVE 2011.
I left town for that...

@wren @caseynewton there was that 18 hours in 2009 when the whole county lost power and it almost went mad max :D

@Viss @caseynewton

I wonder if I am blurring the two in my memory? All I really remember was it was unbearably hot.

@Viss @caseynewton

kony 2012 ordeal, yes.
Should I not mention Heaven's Gate in 1997? Too late.

@wren @caseynewton if i was smart, i woulda bought that house at the bottom lf the market. i didnt know at the time what 'having a house in rsf' meant

@Viss @caseynewton

if I'd known, I'd thrown in with you-lol

@Viss @caseynewton

Just looked it up. Hale-Bopp will be back in 4385. If we start saving now, maybe we can snatch up the next one. 💰 🤑

@Viss where should I taco??

Taste of Himalaya in Hillcrest also good. University Ave. It’s closer assuming you're in the city.

Sundara guys have a cool story. If they’re not too busy, they’ll tell you about it. I like the vibe.
