Yo, #gamedev folks: bring back timed events in single-player games. It doesn't have to be a Game-As-A-Service patch roll out thing you remove at the end. You can just put a time-of-year enabler check in, and then it's there forever. It's fun!

We used to bake Christmas, Pride Month, whatever, into the game itself. It just did cool shit if the clock said it was (that month), and some games added extra toggle-options or cheats to force it on for folks who didn't want to set their clock weird.

@glassbottommeg Terraria and TF2 are fantastic examples of this, and as the content is entirely on device user's can switch their system clock or modify commands to simply experience the content when they want to as well.
