BREAKING: *** Musk already trying to discredit "you should step down" #Twitter poll ***

After silence for hours after the poll, he's now saying only paying "Twitter Blue" subscribers should be able to vote in Twitter policy polls, and seems to be expressing interest in theories that bot armies controlled by his enemies skewed the poll vote against him staying CEO.

I'm sorry, there's just no other great way to put this:

My take is that SpaceElmo called the poll because he had had enough and was looking for a face saving way out.

I would not be in the least bit surprised if the poll was rigged so SpaceElmo didn't get thrashed too badly. They wanted him to 'lose' but the margin couldn't be too small or too big. 15% would be just right.

But the king of 'not thinking things through' clearly hasn't though of who is going to replace him. And its not like there is going to be a long queue of competent folk wanting to take the job.

@tprophet @mattblaze @lauren - Yes, the M*sk twit*** poll failed to use hand marked paper ballots that were hand counted. Oh, and its defective also because it did not use ranked choice and there was no govt' issued photo id requirement. And the poll was open to immigrants!!

Why? Elon wants to be revered. And he doesn’t have a leadership “win” to show since his takeover.
Meanwhile the business world is fixated on his failures at Twitter and the threat to Tesla.
A direct correlation is apparent between his lack of impulse control, the seemingly siloed decision making, and the declining company performance.
The poll indicates he knows he’s part of the problem. Now it’s about saving face.
