Incredibly, now yet another dangerous and fast moving, wind-driven winter wildfire near Boulder, CO. 40-50 mph downslope wind and very low relative humidity at the moment. Near Sunshine Canyon and headed east toward town. #COwx #COfire https://twitter.com/BldrCOSheriff/status/1604948678388523008

Conditions right now are not as extreme as during Marshall Fire nearly a year ago: winds are 40-50mph today vs 90-100mph then and vegetation is not quite as dry. But Sunshine Canyon is not a good location for a wildfire on a downslope wind day in Boulder County. #SanitasFire
Update: fire still active, but calming down considerably. With winds calming in next couple of hours, it's likely additional forward progress will be limited.
