I'm host and lead producer of Idaho Reports on Idaho Public Television. In addition to Idaho politics and news, I post a lot about my kids, and sometimes about my dogs, music, cycling, food, gluten free baking, gardening, and history.

@JoanVT Yes, going back decades to when the Aryan Nations had a visible presence in north Idaho. My colleagues at the station have done entire documentaries on this over the years, and we will continue to cover it.

@Davlin How wonderful of you! Thank you. I'm writing a fiction book in which the main character grew up in an evangelical family in Coeur d'Alene, ID. When she goes to college and then works in Silicon Valley for a few years, there is California Lexy and Idaho Lexy -- and now she can't be comfortable in either place.

North Idaho is a lovely place, and it's a shame that so many people over the years have thought it to be a safe haven for their hateful beliefs.

@Davlin It is. My family (from Seattle) vacationed near Pocatello for many years during my childhood. I learned how to swim, hike, and swim there! I miss it and am planning to come for a visit in spring 2023 with my sister...I want to see how it's grown and changed. Will def let you (and Marcia) know when we solidify plans. @Davlin among position players, I guess it's rooting for KB's eyes, Elias' continued renaissance, and hoping Cron and Iglesias hit well enough to go somewhere else.
(The pitching has multiple Guys to Root For, at least)
