The case shape, crown, and sapphire reflectivity of the Apple Watch Series 1/0/2 were so aesthetically perfect. What we’ve got now is more functional, but it sure ain’t as handsome.
@snazzyq still rocking my series 4. Miss my series 2 sometimes though honestly…
@d1t @snazzyq got a series 4 too but battery is dying 🥲
@snazzyq the pixel watch reminds me of these series a bit
@snazzyq I loved my Series 2 so much but I haven't used a smartwatch since 2018 when my iPhone got stolen and I switched to Android. I have missed that apple watch ever since.
@snazzyq I do miss that style of leather watch band
@snazzyq I'm still a bit salty that my Series 1 just stopped working for no reason. Loved that thing and I'd still be using it today.

@stefandesu @snazzyq I got a battery replaced in my SS S2 and it came back with an unsupported OS on it, that won't pair with any currently supported iPhone.

How a Battery Replacement Left My Apple Watch Obsolete

iMarc
@snazzyq i wouldn't say it's perfect to my taste but it's definitely classic n aged well, like the iPhone 4.
@snazzyq yes! I loved that Apple Watch look and feel
@snazzyq different platform. Same hot takes lol.
@snazzyq even the thickness of it is somehow pretty
@snazzyq you're the reason i moved here at mastodon and i'm liking it so far!
@snazzyq what's the betting the S4 re-design was the first post-Ive Watch design?
@snazzyq It’s a smartwatch, though. If one wanted nice aesthetics, one should go for a traditional watch, imo.
@snazzyq does anyone feel lonely here like me :(
@snazzyq what band is that? I don't remember Apple making a tan leather one, just the black (which I still have from my Series 0 and adore).
@josephschmitt I don’t remember what it’s called but it was sold with the Series 2 Stainless model and then shortly discontinued afterward.
@snazzyq @josephschmitt I believe this was the Classic Buckle. “Too similar to the Hermès Single Tour” is my theory on why it was discontinued.
@sangsara @josephschmitt Probably accurate. It’s a very handsome band. Super nice for the $130 it cost or whatever it was back in the day.
@snazzyq One of the few times where I would like for Apple to go back to a more aesthetic design rather than functional
@snazzyq Totally agree, absolute thing of beauty. #applewatch
@snazzyq meh, it is the same square.
@snazzyq and the S3 too, right? It’s the final form of the original watch design
