Oh, the credulity of media. Of course, Musk made this decision (or Saudi investors made it for him) already. They cover a puppet show as if it were news. Whoever gets the job will just be his puppet.
And: "An unofficial poll that Elon Musk commissioned...." Oh, come on, WaPo. He didn't commission shit. He put up a toy. And the caption describing Jared Kushner as an "adviser" in the White House. How credulous do you think we are, WaPo? Not half as much as you.

No word from Musk on whether he’ll resign. He lost a poll he said he’d abide.

@jeffjarvis But @briannawu (regular on @leo's TWiT) who suggested that poll, is patting herself on the back at the bird site for "saving Twitter" because she suggested that poll.

@jeffjarvis Exactly. It’s baffling how we’re supposed to take WaPo, NYT, and a bunch of other major media outlets seriously.

THere is a ton of good reporting waiting to be done on 100 situations around the world, but instead—they give us an “in depth” report about a faked poll on a social media site.

@jeffjarvis The bigger part of the story is that his recent insistence that no links to competing platforms can be posted violates EU law and could result in a huge fine. Unless he really does want to burn it all down (and the Saudis definitely don't want that), he's got to let someone more responsible take over the day to day.
