I know it is popular to hate Jeff Bezos, along with tech billionaires and billionaires in general, but, penis rocket aside, I am grateful to Bezos. His first vision, which he realized, enabled me, and millions of other writers, to publish to the world for free. The reality is that agents and publishers get thousands of submissions daily. For most of us, this is the only way.

Also, he saved The Expanse from cancellation.

@farbel Amazon was absolutely wonderful (especially for libraries!) when it started. Sadly it joined the ranks of other companies that get too big for their britches and cross the line into excessive greed and power. We really must figure out how to hold mega-corporations more accountable, somehow, some day.

@farbel Yes, and that’s huge. They still do good but the mega-corp thing is so outta control in general. Its extreme is the now the Muskverse. So we’re here to resist and flourish in a better way!
