Jewel of a film, Hudson is perfect for the part, amazing BW cinematography by James Wong Howe and hints of both The Prisoner and The Twilight Zone. Can't recommend enough.

@MikeyMcFilms Yes, it has that somewhat timeless lopsided quality, e.g. the bacchanal or cocktail scenes, which ooze discomfort. It's provocative without trying too hard.
