[[small excerpt from our current fiction project, a novella featuring a pair of aliens and a pair of humans trapped after a plane crash :') this is from draft 1 and we're still editing it to cut down on the melodrama lol but this is still a nice little moment]]
Georgie's heart heaved the longer she ruminated on her snuff bullet. Even if they found it now, there would only be sand inside. If she'd known that it would be her last hit in the airplane bathroom, she would've ignored the flight attendant's knuckles on the door. She would've stayed and stroked the cool metal handrails and gotten sweaty fingerprints all over the mirror and indulged her desire to take a handful of cheap toilet paper and let it melt in her hands under the sink.
Sea worms must be wriggling through the holes now.
Her nostrils tingled. She wanted her bullet, but all she had were wet hands as she dug the heels of her palms into her eyes.
