It's funny that writing one book or story isn't considered that big of a deal anymore. Personally, whether you have 1 or 55 titles to your name, I think you're a rockstar. Own it. Enjoy it. Don't let anyone take away your pride in it.

It's like running a marathon. Every time I'd tell someone that I was training for a marathon, they'd say, "Oh yeah, I ran a marathon once..."

@authorbwest I’ve just published my first mystery and was looking forward to a rest and to concentrate on marketing some musicals I co-wrote. The only problem is that folks keep asking for the next Jurassic Jemma adventure and I sort of feel obligated to start book two. #writer#bookstodon

@JohnJDelaney Yeah, that happens. If it's one thing I wished I did more of as I went, it's marketing. But I can still market now with all my books and write.
