If you've ever wanted to work with me before, I have good news for you. Feel free to hit me up.

It's been pointed out to me that I worded my original message a bit ambiguously.

To be more explicit, I was laid off today.

So, if you know of any open roles that I might be a good fit for, please let me know.

Thanks in advance. πŸ™

@elazar - Sorry to hear the news.

FYI, my company #esri makes #location #technology and is actively hiring. Perhaps you might find an opportunity that fits?

@GIS_Bandit Thank you very much for the lead, it was helpful! I've put in an application. Fingers crossed that I'll hear back soon. Happy holidays. πŸ˜ƒ

@elazar

Hope it works out and good luck!

@elazar I can't recommend my company based on how they treated people I've recommend in the past, but if you're willing to be rejected for dumB reasons... (That's dumb with a capital B for extra dumbness)
@omnicolor I appreciate integrity in that regard, good sir. I'm hopeful to find a good fit, but I'm also on something of a deadline. I'll keep you in mind. πŸ™

@elazar I haven't worked at my company for long, but they've been amazing to me and have lots of openings. I can definitely put in a good word and be a reference for you.

@afrozenpeach Thank you so much, that would be awesome! I just put in an application. πŸ˜ƒ
@elazar good luck! If you have any questions or anything, don't hesitate to send me an e-mail or a DM or whatever
@afrozenpeach The recruiter I got in touch with is going on leave until 1/6, so that's the soonest I could get an interview. I'll keep you posted.
@elazar damn, sorry to hear that.
@twipped Thanks. If you happen to hear of any good leads on open roles, I'd appreciate it if you could pass them along.
@elazar Sorry to hear that! Skillshare does have an eng lead position open: https://jobs.lever.co/skillshare/1a43a750-6990-4959-8455-c0fe5e6e96e4 but NGL it's been a rocky year for the company, they've done layoffs. But, me and Ramsey are still there.

@maccath Thank you so much! Just applied. No guarantees, I know, but just happy to have gotten the lead and very appreciative. πŸ˜ƒ
@elazar I’m sorry to hear this! Good luck with your job hunting πŸ€™πŸΌ

@elazar 2 things:

1) if you see anything on New Relic careers, dm me with a link and your resume. I'll make s referral, you'll get a follow up link to complete the application, and if you get the job, my referral bonus is yours (or goes to charity if you prefer. I'm not in it for the $$)

2) i collect job postings and share them weekly. Hit me up in dm to either get one week or get on the weekly email distro.

@leonadato Unfortunately, PHP and JS/TS are my primary languages and what I'm seeing on New Relic Careers is that they're mainly centered around Java, Ruby, Go, Python, and C#. I have some past experience with Java and Python, but I'd need some ramp-up time to modernize it. How varied are your weekly postings are from this skill set?
@elazar How would you prefer we get in touch? A company I contract with happens to be looking for someone with good PHP chops (but also interest in learning / adopting other things).
@prehnra Email is fine for kicking things off. [email protected] Thanks, appreciate your reply. πŸ˜ƒ πŸ™
