So just to clarify, apparently my ghost ban was lifted in the last hour or so, but this has happened to A LOT of people, some of whom actually are paying Elmo the $8. Can't discern any rhyme or reason to it.

@flexghost I completely understand your reasoning, but I'm not leaving yet. I think it's going to a wild ride there for awhile, but ultimately what Elmo is doing is not sustainable. We'll see. I may lock my account and take a break for awhile.

@cobalt Pretty crazy, huh? Yeah I saw that Vindman was. He's one of the right's favorite people to hate. People who are honest and patriots with principles are reviled, in part because they made the Mango Mussolini look so bad by comparison.

@fooeynet This is certainly possible, but Elmo already basically said that people who didn't pay him for their "free" speech would be downgraded and their replies would not be visible. This appears to be what's happening.
Give_Me_Coffee@UROCKlive1 I was just permanently suspended today and my acct was put in read only mode and I have no idea why, I haven’t even been able to view my account in over 2 weeks bc they had my acct locked due to suspicious activity and wanted me to confirm my identity with a phone number and I didn’t want to give it. Now all of a sudden I’m banned.

@UROCKlive1 Yeah I’ve seen a lot of people say they’re shadowbanned now. I’m actually better off this way. At least in read only I can actually access my past threads for reference to info. For the last 2 weeks I couldn’t even read it but everyone else but me could read and reply to my earlier posts.

@UROCKlive1 Absolutely - well documented by thousands of users as far back as 2014 (from what I've seen anyway) yet they still totally deny it
@UROCKlive1 as soon as you hit a certain keyword or subject all comments from that point on are completely filtered for the rest of the stream (last time for me it was when the conversation turned to the shocking events in a certain LGBT nightclub that was in the news). Theres political motivation behind it but most of the others I've seen complaining are mostly 'right wing' types - I guess it just doesnt discriminate when yoy talk about the same things.

Only tweet about the suspension of journalists and NBC’s suspension of Ben Collins. Going elsewhere for news. I’m tinier than a gnat. Maybe I’ll remove that link and see what happens. I don’t really care, but I am curious, now. 😁
@Wtime90 You can put your Mastodon ID and server in your bio without making it a link and people can find you. Just make sure you include the server, too.
@UROCKlive1 Thanks, I did. I may remove it as an experiment to see if that un-ghost bans me. Then, I’ll put it back. I use notification bells and extensive lists to find information and people, so the ban is not too painful.

@UROCKlive1 Yes. I know some on here are aggravated about all of the Tw conversation, but I think Musk’s actions are one of the most alarming events happening. I don’t know how to quite say it, but social media sites are more than businesses, & in some ways akin to nations. A petty authoritarian has unilaterally conquered a vital info site & is shutting down important flows of information. He also unleashed the vilest of hordes. Will you leave?
