Right now focusing on difficulty, and where/why people abandon the signup process.
Just doing this as a fun exercise because I’m curious.
@mikehoff The two most challenging areas seem to be: understanding why instances exist; selecting an instance. It looks like joinmastodon.org has made progress on both fronts, but I would focus on how this can be further improved.
https://instances.social/ could also use some improvement... and it might be worth asking whether people even know it exists.
