A pic from Akranes near the lighthouse in Iceland. One of my favorites from the trip, probably more so for the memory than the image itself. #throwbackthursday #landscapePhotography #Iceland #Photography

Rhetorical question: Is the memory better than the image?

No.

They are both excellent :)

Did you have to find the hyperfocal point when focusing, and use aperture F16? Nicely done. This is Ansel Adams good. – #steeds

Hyperfocal distance - Wikipedia

@ApproachingSteed I didn’t. I stacked the images so kind of cheated. ☺️ If you zoom in you can see the foreground is still slightly out of focus. Thanks so much for the compliments!

@Scottie137

Ah, interesting. Nah, not cheating, in my opinion. I doubt most lenses have the hyperfocal distance point marked anymore so it's a pain.

Plus #AnselAdams shot large format (8" x10" or 220 film) at like F64 which is kinda cheating on his part since most new camera's don't even go past F16.

Plus, I'm pro-stacking since I used to stack negatives in the darkroom, lol. See attached. The image caption tells the story :) – #steeds
