Deutschland befindet sich in den kommenden Tagen weiterhin im Einflussbereich eines stabilen Sommerhochs, das ungewöhnlich warme bis heiße Luftmassen nach Mitteleuropa lenkt. Dadurch steigen die Temperaturen auf Höchstwerte von bis zu +38 Grad. Neben anhaltenden Hitze- und Wüstentagen sind weitere tropische Nächte zu erwarten, in denen die Temperaturen selbst nachts kaum unter die +20 Grad-Marke ab sinken. Anfangs ist die Luftmasse noch sehr schwül, was die Bildung kräftiger, teils auch unwetterartiger Gewitter begünstigt. Im weiteren Verlauf der Woche dreht der Wind auf nördliche Richtungen, wodurch etwas frischere und trockenere Luft bis an die Mittelgebirge vorankommt. Während es über Norddeutschland etwas abkühlt, setzt sich die hochsommerliche bis heiße Witterung nahezu ungebremst fort.
