I’ve run into twitter refugees here who post like they are traumatized and quite defensive sounding as they post. I had to get off bc I was being phished by something on the twitter app… asking for financial data. I feel like I’m in recovery here. Able to work better, with a clearer head. Less stress.

@NLAWScametovisit @aravosis things are already breaking . A friend of mine and I are not just documenting the hate speech, but signs of stack errors. The institutional knowledge to fix that is gone. However, stay if you wish…but your traffic is what drives money from advertisers.

To leave Twitter safely (copied from someone else, don't remember who):
If you deactivate/delete your Tw*tter account, your @ handle will be publicly available in 30 days.
To prevent impersonation with no recourse:
1. Deactivate your account.
2. Go to the bird site /login and reactivate it.
All of your followers will be gone.
3. Then lock the account and let it rot.
Also, @semiphemeral is a great tool for wiping data, including DMs.

kristophr@aravosis sadly this happened before Elon took over. I tagged fbi on a post where the guy said something about taking matters into his own hands. I forget context but was definitely a threat.
He took my profile picture and posted it all over the place and said "certainly hope someone doesn't cross your path". It was clearly a threat. I took screen shots and notified Twitter that someone is sharing my picture with death threats and Twitter said it was fine. No violation. Quit Twitter.

And they didn't even provide a reason for my suspension. I just got a notification saying I'm permanently suspended with no justification or reason provided.

And I have too many of those emails saying "we didn't find that it violated our policies".
I used the C word and got locked out.
The TOS is merely there to say there is one as far as I can tell. "Enforcement" is shoddy at best.
