Today, the United States Postal Service announced that, in 2023, it will issue a stamp celebrating the life and legacy of this humble servant of the people. Well done.

@Deglassco Wonderful! Iโ€™m also excited for the Toni Morrison stamp thatโ€™s being released in โ€˜23 โœจ
@Deglassco he was an inspirational, larger than life figure. I had the pleasure of meeting him when he stopped by our student retreat at Johns Hopkins.
@Deglassco I met him once and got to shake his hand back when I was in college a million years ago. He also led the Womenโ€™s March in Atlanta in January 2017. Rainy, hopeful day. And he led the March against school shootings in Atlanta. A lot of my friends got to march with him in Selma for the anniversaries.
@Deglassco I will always remember the picture of him standing on the Black Lives Matter Plaza in 2020.
@micron Me too. Sad (because he was ill) but incredibly inspiring at the same time.

@Deglassco May we all get into such โ€˜good troubleโ€™ - bless his memory
@Deglassco I will purchase a lot of them. What an amazing individual he was and much missed.

@Deglassco
"Good Trouble"
The industrial metal band "Ministry" named a song for his famous phrase, and made an anthem for the trouble makers.

That's us.

@Deglassco He was my representative most of my adult life. We in Atlanta were privileged and proud to have him truly represent us.
@Deglassco
Everyone should buy sheets of these, instead of the boring old rolls of flag stamps, and use them for every piece of mail, to keep his image from disappearing from anyone's memory. I know I will.
@lolonurse For commemoration.
@Deglassco
My grandfather got me collecting stamps when I was 4 or 5. In my 20's, during gaps in college (hippie), I was a philatelic appraiser, & fell in love with commemoratives. Now I feel like people should use them to make statements, even though USPS isn't used enough anymore.But I always make my mail make a statement, even if I'm the only one who knows it.๐Ÿ’™โœŠ๐Ÿผโ˜ฎ๏ธ๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒŠ
