@bolts “ The U.S. Postal Service began piloting a cost-cutting plan in 2023 to remove the machines that sort and postmark mail from local offices and instead consolidate mail processing in regional centers.”

My wife had a delivery that was delayed for over a month because the package kept going to our regional center and then out to various other places not remotely close to ours. It only stopped when a postal supv. intervened and DROVE to the reg center personally.

A divided Supreme Court Tues ruled citizens can’t sue the #USPS, even when employees deliberately refuse to deliver mail.

By a 5-4 vote, the justices ruled against a Texas landlord, Lebene Konan, who alleges her mail was intentionally withheld for 2 years. Konan, who is #Black, claims racial #prejudice played a role in postal employees’ actions.
