Want. 1965 stereo radiophonograph Brionvega RR126 by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. All it needs is a cassette player (& an 8-track?) and it would be perfect.

@Richard_Littler that is beautiful, and as much as I'd love to say "Why doesn't anyone make stereos like that any more?!?!?!", I know the answer is miniaturisation. We carry the equivalent, and more, in our pocket every day
@Richard_Littler I think a reel to reel would be better, no?
@Richard_Littler Bowie had one of these, I remember when it was auctioned. https://www.brionvega.it/en/company/news/73-david-bowie-en.html - Not often I lust after music gear, but phwoar.
@kleptones @Richard_Littler I remember that auction as well. A case where its design and provenance were *cough* a total blam-blam
@Richard_Littler Well Ii have the cassette player and tapes that I made going back to the early 1980’s. Would love to know how they sound on this system. Each bit of gear interprets the sound differently.
@Richard_Littler check out Tomba Brion too
@Richard_Littler a cassette player in 1965? I bought my first Phillips cassete deck - which looked just like a star trek shoulder hung tricorder - in 1968.
@Richard_Littler Summat deeply weird here. On the white one the speaker box fits alongside the record deck. ON the yellow one that would not be possible - the deck takes up more than half the top. Are there different models?
