The hardworking moderators of the internet (many of whom are volunteers) don't deserve the abuse Musk, Weiss, Taibbi, et al. are encouraging.

I'm coming up on my 25th year of this work, and I am unfortunately very used to being abused. But that doesn't make it okay, and it's been awhile since I've seen such a concentrated volume of hatred directed at those who do this work.

@patrickokeefe Moderators have the power to keep hatred and disinformation at bay. This makes them as much a political target today as civil rights protesters were in the 1960s.
