Kestrel.

One of my favourite locations for wildlife photography in England, is the Cotswolds.

On this day, I was looking for owls and hares, when this male kestrel caught my eye, perched on the top of a small tree beside the road.

Just as I lined the camera up, he took flight, and I captured that moment, with his wings in rather an angelic shape.

@petewalkden Can’t beat the cotswolds… born and raised there and always somehow called back by nature’s siren song…

@GwynMoxham It certainly has it's own wonderful atmosphere. The buildings, the landscape of those hills, the walls, and the pubs... I miss those pubs!

I feel a road-trip coming on, south of the border and a revisit to some of those old and wonderful haunts.

@GwynMoxham @petewalkden name some places to go: my sister is coming over next year to somewhere called Broadway (I think) where else is good round there?
@Simon_AUS_UK @petewalkden It’s all good, but stepping away from the fosse way tourist traps, my home town of Nailsworth in Gloucestershire has the most special place in my heart :)
