Our box for our tree had many rings of tape before it was unviable and we got a canvas bag for it.
Not sure how that fits with the analogy.
Petrified/ fossilised tree maybe?

Our box growing up had packing tape, masking tape, duct tape, and that black electrical tape for wrapping around frayed cords. I'm pretty sure my parents got that tree before I was born (1982), and we kept it until after my sister graduated high school (2006).

(My motherβs tree β the one I grew up with β has been in her possession for almost 50 years now. And it was originally bought second hand.)

It never went in the same way it originally was packed! All the fake berries have been munched by mice in the garage yet out it comes every year!
