@danielauener how much is it costing you so far to run a Mastodon instance? Would you recommend the host you picked?

@davidfcarr hi, currently my setup is a bit oversized. I’m paying around 30$ before taxes on AWS for ec2 instances, s3 media storage, cloudfront cdn and a (quite expensive) load balancer. Chose AWS just for convenience, would neither recommend it as best or cheapest host (I know that traffic costs is killing the bigger instances).

But yes there has definitely been a recent surge.

Few folks care as much about open source, publishing and owning your content than WP Devs so it’s a very natural fit.

@danielauener I have significant imposter syndrome even asking to be on this list, but I have been using #WordPress for 15 years, have used it both in over ten different freelance projects and I do custom integration into #SAPBusinessOne
