#WordPress org added a page remembering community members who are not with us anymore. Beautiful gesture. If you don’t know any of these folks stories, take the time to find out.

As a blind Mastodonian who is made happy by alt text every day, I'd like to request anyone who feels inclined or able, to post and describe insects. I've really enjoyed the occasional alt text describing flying and crawling things.
Clears throat, then says it loudly for those praying in the back of the room.

Dear non-profits... stop using some random board member's Zoom account. Get your own.

Own your meeting recordings. A single zoom account is only $150, and if you're a 501c3 you can get 50% off (although getting that deal through TechSoup costs $18/year) so really only saving$57/year if you only have one user/account... but still, do it!

If I show up for one more board meeting only to find out that whoever setup the zoom can no longer attend and host the zoom I'm going to loose my mind.

Remember that #WordPress plugin I forked that shows you when your installed plugins were last updated?

Well, now it's got its own WP-CLI command!

And, just like I said last time, feedback, pull requests, and GitHub issues are welcome!

Bob Lee's murder in San Francisco was tragic, and evil. So was the instant rush to judgment of the crowd that seizes on any individual crime as proof the city is a random-crime-everywhere hellhole (in fact the crime rate is historically low). (And yes, the city has big problems, as do most cities.)

Now that this crime is looking a lot less random, don't hold your breath for contrition from the pretend SF lovers about this.
