Musk just reinstated the Twitter account of one of America's loudest Nazis.

He knows exactly what he's doing.

The nightmare scenario -- the fascist right taking over major media companies -- is getting more and more real. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/elon-musk-twitter-reinstates-neo-nazi-andrew-anglin-account-1234640390/

Elon Brings One of America’s Most Prominent Nazis Back to Twitter

Neo-Nazi Andrew Anglin has been reinstated to Twitter under Elon Musk’s new policies for the platform.

Now we see that Musk and/or minions are handing over carefully selected internal Twitter documents to a carefully selected reporter, with the obvious goal of amplifying the Hunter Biden smear campaign.

I'm no fan of Hunter Biden, you should realize what it means when the owner of a social-media company does this.

@dangillmor Time to do unto Musky boy as he does unto others. Either that or we just aid the Hackers who are working on taking down Shitter.
@dangillmor not the first time it's happened, though, not just with musk, either...
@dangillmor Hey, Dan.
I'm of the opinion that this is Step 1 of a operation... maybe for the R House to unite behind a "root out all the Democrats in Social Media tech companies" campaign.
@Wikisteff @dangillmor If you read the entire thread, you can tell they are trying to turn due diligence into a moral outrage and calling it First Amendment violations. They are also acting like the FCC doesn't exist.
@KaoticPersona @dangillmor Did the thread finish now? It was still in progress, albeit unnumbered when I quit.
@Wikisteff @dangillmor For the most part. They are saying more will come out. But you gotta love how the right wing is quickly glomping on this like it proves anything they said. It is just another moral outrage being stoked by bad actors to cause more fracturing of the nation.
@dangillmor My take is still the same as 2020: "welp that settles it, I'm not voting for Hunter Biden." Honestly though he really just looks like a typical aimless trust fund kid. I lived in Boston near Harvard and saw tons of those.
@dangillmor This is why I left, months ago.
@dangillmor It was this that made me delete all my stuff... I think that's my last straw.
@dangillmor and when that owner is literally the world's richest man, you know the oligarchy has come out into the open.

@dangillmor the only reason to give enough of a shit about hunter biden, including being a. fan or not, is because cons told you to.

The only thing I know about him is he doesn't actually matter.

@dangillmor

@leo
FYI regarding the Fowl Site and selecting leaking to journalists 🙄

@dangillmor @pluralistic it mostly makes it impossible for US officials to go after him given it will be seen as “story suppression”. Same for having Trump back.
@andrei_chiffa
Identified the quandary we'll all face in #Hunterpalooza
@dangillmor @pluralistic
This thread is a honeypot to attract duplicitous trolls
Elon Musk’s promised Twitter exposé on the Hunter Biden story is a flop that doxxed multiple people

Elon Musk promoted a thread by Matt Taibbi rehashing known information about Twitter’s internal discussions over handling the Hunter Biden laptop leak while doxxing Jack Dorsey and US Representative Ro Khanna.

The point isn’t to smear Hunter, the point is to demonstrate that Twitter’s management rolled over and suppressed a legitimate news story for no reason other than the Biden campaign asked them to. It doesn’t matter what the actual story was about.
@kim You're correct that the point isn't to smear Hunter Biden -- it's to smear his father. The docs show that Twitter management/workers deliberated hard over what to do -- exercising serious due diligence. They made the wrong call at first, and then reversed the bad decision.
@dangillmor
Not leaving any of the clichés about money and privilege alone, is he?
@dangillmor Even FOX's Murdoch, and TFG, make sure they have plausible deniability to be not personally tied to any 'adverse actions'.
