I am, but only because it makes me less approachable and significantly reduces how often I get trapped into conversations with strangers.
The less Covid thing is just icing on the cake.
@shawrd773 @SarahKite It really is worth it to give up something you enjoyed so much, just to avoid permanent organ damage.
This reality timeline is so hard to get used to.
@SarahKite I'm very lucky that my work is mostly remote, with only a day or two in the office each month. I'm sure to mask there. I don't eat out much, but that's not a big change from pre-Covid.
I'm vaxxed & boosted so if I am in a situation where I can't avoid an indoor location w/many people & no mask, I'm as protected as I can be.
@SarahKite I mask all over, at the store, at the post office, anywhere public. I do so because the disease is still here, I am older and vulnerable and because my oldest daughter, once a performing musician, is still struggling after 33 months.
This is not a disease to fuck with. It did not go away. It is still killing people. It is still messing with people's bodies.
We should mask to respect others. To protect others. And to protect ourselves. It's really not that great a hardship.
