๐Ÿšจ**BREAKING BREXIT**๐Ÿšจ

And so the end of Brexit continues! Major Tory donor Guy Hands demands a softer Brexit, with a minimum of rejoining the Single Market a condition of his continued financial support! Only the Brexit Jihadist ERG stands in the way!

Billionaire ex-Tory donor Guy Hands will help fund party again if PM seeks soft EU trade deal

The leading UK business figure said that a free trade deal with the EU could even help the Conservative Party win the next general election

@Comanche @iamian16

I respectfully disagree. We all know rejoining the SM & CU makes complete sense.

HOWEVER, this is EXACTLY what the ERG/Tories are hoping Labour pins to its mast, so they can restart the 2019 save Brexit/immigration fight & rouse their slumbering gammon base.

Labour need to hold course & allow business & the electorate's increasingly loud calls for EU integration to become a deafening cacophony!

Starmer said there's CURRENTLY no case for rejoining. Situations change. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

@AnthonyFStevens @Comanche @iamian16 I really hope you are right, because I'm slowly starting to despair.

@GiuRaigegoe @Comanche @iamian16

Mate, the current Labour Party are ultra Remain. Look at the MP's 2016 & 2018 Brexit voting records.

In 2020 they all apparently turned into "No rejoining the EU, CU or SM / we can do Brexit better." The result? It's one less line of attack the ERG/Tories have against Labour.

The only attack point they have left? In 2019, you all supported Corbyn. That's it! Labour are being extremely street smart & politically savvy & the ERG/Tories can't handle it! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

@AnthonyFStevens @Comanche @iamian16 yes, if I look at it with a clear head, I can only agree. It's sometimes I do feel a bit "edgy" ๐Ÿ˜”.
@AnthonyFStevens @GiuRaigegoe @iamian16
I get the โ€œlong gameโ€. It was the same under Corbyn but Lab spent so long vacillating, that when they did come to the right and democratic policy, ie a confirmatory vote - it was too late. The country was too annoyed and not in a place to listen.
We have to make the best of things but it would be great to hear Lab speak truth about Brexit, to call the shit show as it is - then we might be able to move on.
@Comanche @AnthonyFStevens @GiuRaigegoe @iamian16
So people got impatient but shitshow still hasn't ended. Billionaire owning news media narrative WAS people were impatient. I don't think it was the case. Until there's a clean out of Murdoch & co UK political climate will remain #toxic
@iamian16 @Comanche @AnthonyFStevens it is really hard when you see the culmination of 12 years of austerity impacted by the the Brexit dividend. I understand the need not to fall into traps laid by ERG etc, but it is a very frustrating process #torybrexitchaos #ToryBrexitDisaster
@AnthonyFStevens @Comanche @iamian16 The #Labour party has to be clever in this. There will be a time (I think in a few months) when they will have to show they are willing to talk to the EU, in a potential lab government. My view is that they can get through that just promising that any new agreement will be voted by the people.
@AnthonyFStevens
Goid news: the tide is really turning.
We need more Tory donors to threaten to withdraw support. Money talks!
@AnthonyFStevens โ€จI can see the Tories outflanking Lab on this. Labs capacity for missing open goals is enormous. Winds are changing, the SM/CU ground is open and popular. Not so far fetched to see Tories grabbing it and leaving Lab high, dry and very, very, foolish..
@Comanche @AnthonyFStevens
Absolutely agree. Iโ€™ve been saying for a while that Starmer would be foolish to nail his colours to a non-SM mast.
Heโ€™ll miss the boat if he continues to court the Brexit vote when red-wall Tories are throwing in the towel.

@AnthonyFStevens
I love how this "business genius" is only just now figuring out that Brexit is a bad idea after years of everyone telling him exactly why it was a dumb idea.

Capitalism rewards stupidity and incompetence.

@tofugolem

Beth Rigby told Hunt on Thurs that since 2016, journo's have been terrified of mentioning Brexit through fear of being attacked for being against the will of the 17.4m.

But since the ERG/Tories crashed our economy, what was once bitter words from Remoaners, became a trickle & is turning into a tsunami!

Hitler stifled dissent of his nazi ideology in 1930s Germany, the same as the ERG have done since 2016

It started with Brexit voters grumblings, but now few fear calling Brexit out

@AnthonyFStevens

"Remoaners"?

@tofugolem

Those who voted Remain - Remainers / Remoaners... ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

@AnthonyFStevens
I got that, I just find it odd people would still malign them after they were proven right about pretty much everything.

@tofugolem

It's buyers remorse, crossed with the human affliction of not wanting to admit you were wrong. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ

PLUS we've STILL got the ERG underpinned by their far right, fascist client media pals at the Fail, Express, Sun & Torygraph pushing the save Brexit/immigration invasion narrative & claiming Brexit benefits will emerge if we keep the faith & hold our nerve.

The issue is they're spinning the same shit as 2016 with nothing new to add. Even worse there's nothing new on the horizon either

@AnthonyFStevens
To anyone doing that,
If you think it's embarrassing to admit that you were wrong, you have not adequately considered the humiliation involved in pretending to be right.

@tofugolem

It's herd confirmation bias. If they all keep telling each other they're correct, they can continue to delude themselves that they're right & Brexit will come good eventually.

As a reminder, when asked this question in 2018, the Haunted Mop Stick said we won't see significant Brexit benefits for the next 50-100 years! ๐Ÿ˜ณ

They never put that on the side of their bus, did they? ๐Ÿ™„

https://youtu.be/My4UM_zCpk0

Jacob Rees Mogg says Brexit benefits will take 50 years.

YouTube

@AnthonyFStevens
All of which kind of proves my point, doesn't it? Everything they do to pretend they were right exposes them to far more ridicule and mockery than they would have had from simply admitting that they were wrong.

Also, "haunted mop stick" is hilarious.

@tofugolem The ERG/Tories have become a parody of themselves. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ
@anaribeiro @AnthonyFStevens
This is precisely why American conservatives constructed the right-wing safe-space media bubble.
@tofugolem @AnthonyFStevens Everyone I know who voted to leave now regret their votes. They blame the Government for lying. The Conservatives left the building & left a Right Wing Nationalist Party in charge.
@AnthonyFStevens @tofugolem agreeโ€ฆ meanwhile they continue with destruction of the fabric of our society ( draconian laws, public order bill, voter suppression, attempt to take control of National Trust and so on) to advance their master plansโ€ฆmedia enablers repeating their discourse, taking their baits by getting distracted and absorbed by every dead cat they throw at us all, all infused by an atmosphere of World Cup & Iโ€™m a celebโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคช
@AnthonyFStevens @tofugolem itโ€™s never going to emerge. The EU was formed for economic and geopolitical strength and leverage over trading competitors. And now? You see why that was important/
@tofugolem @AnthonyFStevens
One should take pride in being a Remoaner๐Ÿ˜€

@DillaClare @tofugolem

I do! I'm a fully paid up member of the "Told you so" Club too! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

@tofugolem @AnthonyFStevens that's why we're still moaning about it.

I'm alright with the term. It depends on the context, I guess.

@AnthonyFStevens @tofugolem Thatโ€™s why I left Facebook. I could see Brexit was going to be a total disaster. Workers rights, N Ireland, getting goods from Europe, bone idle PM. I just got abuse. I followed a haulage man on Twitter, who kept saying they kept asking the Gov to speak to them - they were ignored. And then people blamed the EU for everything falling apart.

@buxros @AnthonyFStevens
I was permanently banned from Facebook because I shared a meme that criticized WW2 Nazis for killing women and children.

Apparently, this is against their "community standards."

Did I mention that on Facebook, fascists are a "protected class," but black children aren't? You can literally be more abusive to black children than you can to Nazis.

@AnthonyFStevens fecking bastards all of them. Went for the "let me see what happens if I press the big red button" approach. Then just saying "whoops"... To hell with tbem
@AnthonyFStevens the only question left is Swiss or Norwegian?

@RichardAshbyWilson

The closer the better mate... ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ

@RichardAshbyWilson @AnthonyFStevens It wonโ€™t be the Swiss option. Itโ€™s not up to us. Itโ€™s what the EU tells us we can have. Thatโ€™s where Tory hubris has brought us to.

@AnthonyFStevens
Labour being outflanked on #brexit Who'd have thunk!

Starmer's stupid make brexit work stance is doing huge harm & turning off Labour voters to allow Tories to squeeze back in again!
#shame

@AnthonyFStevens I think the bigger obstacle will be the MSM, they are wedded to Brexit by far more than ideology. There is a heavy malign influence at work, either the ERG or more likely the people who fund them. Johnson looked the other way for years as they gained ground and sway over British institutionsโ€ฆbecause to do so enabled him.
And stupid Labour are about to be blindsided on this because Red Tory Starmer has backed himself into a corner.
@AnthonyFStevens I want them destroyed, fighting like rats in a sack.
