We also went to the Heineken Experience. This is the second brewery tour I've done in Amsterdam, the other being Brouwerij Eijj, which couldn't be more different. I had fun, but if you could only ever do one Amsterdam brewery tour (weird spec but here we are) I'd do Brouwerij Eijj.

@Jobob yes, I very much have that feeling! A big enough, walkable, interesting city. It's a hard thing to beat.

BrisWombat@BeckyDouglas Hi, recommendation from an internet stranger. Was there a month ago and loved it. Captain Dave cruise was excellent, did the last one of the day. He supplies drinks and stops for food, he has lots of great local knowledge. His boat is electric so you can hear everything, water, people, birds, etc. His tours leave from Prinsengracht 397, you must book as he doesn’t take more than 12 passengers.
