I really hope that more servers will support one-click installs and at a lower cost. I’m running my own server right now because I couldn’t find any hosting that was sure to work at a reasonable price.

Also hoping to see Tumblr get full compatibility soon also!

Mastodon installation on a VPS was fairly simple and is well documented. Had and have more problems with Pixelfed (known issues that have already been reported).

@harald indeed. I managed to get my own server running mostly by following guides written for Linode. It would be nice to see basic #ActivityPub servers able to be installed in one click though, similar to WordPress.

@andrew @darnell something similar to WordPress that can run on any cheap LAMP shared webhosting service would be great for a broader adoption.
