Before I started the new #knitting, I did finish this #BobbinLace piece. But it has to rest on the pillow a bit before you take it down.

It's my first piece attempted with beading. And you do have to learn some bead management. It does take a bit longer. And wow, is it heavy now! I'm used to my lace being like a feather--heh.

The next chapter in this book (Jan Tregidgo's "#Torchon #Lacemaking) is a bracelet, which is my real goal. Something I can wear.

@mem_somerville those are gorgeous! did you pre-thread the beads or do you attach them with a crochet hook like a sewing?

@vae_everywhere In this case, both strategies. Most of the smaller beads were pre-threaded. The biggest ones were crochet hooked.

This book was really good at explaining both, and how to work with beads.

@mem_somerville nice! I've only done the crochet hook method, I had a kit to make some tree ornaments a few years back (enough years that digital photos don't exist and my parents now have the originals)
