@bernicecbc The story from today on smaller housing alternatives by colleague CBC reporter Moira Donovan in NS was great! That’s exactly what Canada needs. Legal affordable detached micro-houses in all districts, town, cities and municipalities across the country. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/smaller-development-could-help-address-housing-crisis-1.6693589
Housing costs have soared. Are smaller dwellings the answer? | CBC News

Housing costs continue to climb in Nova Scotia and some say encouraging smaller homes is part of the solution.

CBC
@strayhorse Yes, I think most of us could probably benefit from smaller homes. (Less to clean and upkeep! 😊) At least one Newfoundland town has also amended bylaws to allow for mini-homes or tiny homes. But some other municipalities have not embraced the idea. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/newfoundland-labrador/tiny-home-subdivision-stephenville-1.4480928
Tiny homes, tremendous opportunity? Stephenville hopes so | CBC News

The Newfoundland town is banking on a tiny trend to grow the community, and is changing its bylaws to permit a subdivision with homes as small as 387 square feet.

CBC
@bernicecbc Great story! CBC is awesome! I helped our daughter build a tiny home that she’s been living in the past few years. She totally loves it.
@bernicecbc I'm so happy to see Canadian Journalists here.
