@pythagorus @michael @silverjam a Chromebook is a Google Arm Linux distro, so similar but not open unless you crack it open. Raspberry Pi’s are wide open

a bit off the topic but then I can overwrite the chromebook os and install linux or maybe that is a waste...tbh I don't even know what the UI looks like i would expect a windows copy
@pythagorus @shanselman @silverjam chromeos is already Linux based. There’s a way to use terminal and run Linux programs. I think you could also format it and run another Linux OS or possibly dual boot. https://youtu.be/wMvJgHl7084

something liike lubuntu or lxde fedora might run better than the OOB OS
but what I really want to do is jail break my phones and run them on linux
